After doing so much walking, we decided to do a vespa tour of Versailles so we wouldn't have to walk much.
We met our tour guide and got some instruction on Vespa driving. Tyler drove and I rode as a passenger. Let me tell you... trying to balance yourself on the back of a vespa is not easy and I was sore from it.
It was just us, the tour guide, and another couple from Australia
We headed to the Chateau de Versailles
Walked around the outside of the castle and surrounding gardens for a little bit
Took a food break, ice cream and crepes
Then we went inside the chateau
This was another really hot day, and the chateau was very busy

After the Chateau we headed to lunch at a traditional crepe restaurant.
On our way there Tyler crashed my foot into a curb while driving the vespa. Obviously I was not happy. Luckily though the restaurant was just around the corner.
A traditional crepe restaurant serves a savory crepe, a sweet crepe and cider. Tyler wanted to try out the cider which to us looked like Martinelli's. Tyler took a sip and wasn't a fan. I didn't like the smell of it and didn't try it. Later on I was looking at the bottle and realized that the cider had alcohol in it. I asked the tour guide just to be sure, and he said it did. Tyler always manages to drink some alcohol on out of the country trips. :) Always non-intentionally.
After lunch we drove around the countryside.
Quaint little towns
The spring on the left has been there for hundreds of years with fresh spring water. We also went into an old church that was amazingly cool. Very refreshing from the heat.

We then went back to Chateau to Marie Antoinette estates and gardens. We really didn't see much around here. We just sat on the garden area and drank water. I wish we had gone in, but it was late in the day already and we needed to head back.

We got back to the apartment, took a shower, went to the monoprix to get some aloe. I got very sunburned and had a legging tan line on the legs - very attractive I tell you.
We then went to Rue Cler for dinner
We had dinner at Tribeca that was recommended by the apartment owner. I was in the mood for pasta.
We baked in the restaurant. It was very busy, and super hot.
Tyler had creme brulee for dessert and I decided to skip on dessert this time.
I was pretty worn out from this day. The sunburn and the insane heat didn't help. Tyler loved riding a Vespa and we considered getting one, but everything in Texas is too widespread for a Vespa.
