on the border

I've officially moved onto night shift

That means Tyler and I don't get to see each other on nights I work because I leave before he gets home, and I get home after he leaves for work

Last night I didn't work, so we went on a date and ran errands together

We both love On the Border and I've been wanting Mexican since Saturday

We love sitting outside

and chips and salsa

Afterwards we went to Michael's and Target

Tyler loved this piggy bank

Maybe we'll get that if we have a girl... that is if it's still available

Tyler's alarm just went off. Time for me to go to bed, and him to go to work!

brooklyns

Saturday night we went to Brooklyn's

Husband wanted pizza

Wife wanted pasta or mexican

It's a lovely little pizzeria

kind of made me miss New York and the real deal

We then watched this movie

Husband loved it

Wife is still not sure. I like happy endings.

I guess I should have listened to the narrator.

Date nights are my favorite.

girls night

On Saturday night I got to go out with some of my girlfriends from church and the temple. We try to do this once a month but last time we had gotten together was over two months ago!

We met for dinner at a Thai restaurant in Dallas called Banana Leaf. It was my first time having thai food. It was pretty good, but I like my chinese better. Maybe I just need to try something different next time.

Danielle and me. Candice and Keisha

After dinner we headed to the movie theater for a girly movie. We watched The Time Traveler's Wife. I'm glad I went with them to watch it.

I have mixed feelings about the movie. I didn't quite get the whole time traveling and thought there were flaws with the plot. It was certainly beautifully made. I love Rachel McAdams. I think I'd like to read the book and hopefully fill in the spots that left me confused. Next month we'll be seeing Love Happens with Jennifer Anniston. I can't wait! I love these girls.

When we've had a long week

When we're tired

and don't have the energy to go out on a date

we eat popcorn and watch movies in bed

when bad things happen to good people

Tyler and I had an eventful mutual activity this past Thursday. It was a combined activity and the laurels wanted to do a where's waldo activity.

It meant that the young women and young men leaders along with the bishopric would dress up in a disguise, but something that people would actually wear/look like, and then we'd try to find them at the mall. Whoever found the most leaders and got their signature would then win.

I had to work that day until 2:00pm so I decided I wasn't going to dress up, but instead I'd organize the rides to the mall.

We were having a blast. I had a group of 5 with me. Everything was going great until we found my husband. My husband who didn't tell me at all what he was going to do for this activity, or ask for my help. We found him looking like this:

At first we all thought it was a bald cap. But lo and behold he shaved his head! Not on a number 1 attachment, but took a razor to his head and shaved it! The activity turned pretty sour for me once we found him.

After the activity he had a volleyball game. So I got home and he was gone. But when he got back the damage was worse than with that make-up on. I was so upset, and mad. I've now gotten over it. But I really don't like being married to a porcupine.

mid week movie night

Husband took notice of my post yesterday and we went on a movie date last night!

When he got home from work we went to the t-mobile store and got my new phone

Then we went to see The Proposal and got popcorn and drinks. Very cute. Not cheesy. Funny. Fairly clean.

We then went to the grocery store real quick for a few essentials.

Came home, played with new phone, husband had some mutual stuff to prepare for, and off to bed.

Tyler is on call this weekend so we'll be home all weekend just in case he gets called for any computer emergencies.

chips and salsa for a midweek date

Tyler and I went on a midweek date yesterday

I had class all day and picked him up at work

We had dinner at Sol Irlandes in downtown Dallas because I crave their chips and salsa like it's a drug

Sad thing my camera was dead

We then went to the lovely Dallas temple for a session

Tuesday nights used to be my shift, so I saw lots of familiar faces

Husband... I think we should do midweek dates more often
