Today I graduate from here:

After almost six years of school I'll be able to call myself one of these lovely nurses:

I'm so grateful to both of our moms. They're amazing women and I'm proud of both of them for all that they've been through and all that they've done. And seriously... they both raised amazing people. lol

lovely weekend

Tyler and I had a lovely weekend. On Friday night we had the elders over for dinner for Brazilian night. Elder Nielsen really wanted some Brazilian food so I made them some rice, beans, top sirloin steak, brazilian sausage, and salad. I attempted do make a chocolate mousse that my mom always makes and failed miserably. We're going to make it together when she comes to visit next Monday! :-D

Did I mention that my parents are coming for graduation? Well they are. They get here Monday, May 11.

On Saturday we slept until 11. It was glorious. We then headed to the Allen outlet mall for a gift for Tyler. Meet Karen. His new lover.







She's a kitchen aid bowl-lift stand mixer professional 600 series, 6 qt bowl, 575 watt motor.

We got it for more than half off. Tyler is in love. He's been wanting a mixer for three months and I was tired of hearing about it. lol So off we went. Now I need to figure out where to keep it because it doesn't fit under our cabinet! It'll be interesting to see what we can do about it.

Afterwards we went to the Cheesecake factory for some yummy food! Tyler got the chicken madeira and I got pasta carbonara. We had no room for cheesecake, and decided to not take any home.



Shortly after we got home I left for girls night out! I went out with Candice and Keisha. I met them while working at the temple and they're both single and without kids so it's always fun to go out with them. I love hearing their dating stores and we just click. We went to watch X-Men Origins: Wolverine at the Studio Movie Grill. I really liked it!! I hadn't seen any of the X-men movies


After the movie we hung out and talked for almost two hours. I had a great time with the girls. Can't wait for next month night out an watching The Proposal!

Sunday we had a very lazy day. We went to church and hung out around the house, watched movies, took a long nap, Tyler made pizza, the elders stopped by to test it, and Tyler did good. I guess the kitchen aid was what he needed. :)

Today I have a health screening for my new job. On Friday I have my final and then I'm done with nursing school! It's going to be a busy week for us, but we're close to some much needed vacation and we can't wait!

Blog letters: husband

Dear husband,

Our house is going to look like a tornado went through it until Friday. I hope you're ok with that. I know that the carpet needs to be vacuumed, dishes need to be put away, things need to be dusted, laundry needs to be done and folded, but really... I need to get this darn clinical paperwork done and that presentation too. So sorry. I'll be back with my high heels and pearls asap.
