This is what our bedroom has looked like for the last 4 years. I had that bedspread before we even got married. Needless to say I was tired of it.
We also needed our carpets to be gone badly! Little Miss April did some serious damage during potty training. We want to replace the entire house carpet, but we can't afford that now. So we did a temporary solution to the floors.
First we ripped out the carpet in our bedroom area, along with the base boards.

Yes friends. That is our sick, nasty carpet. I used to shampoo every month.
We then repainted our walls. We used the Behr paint with primer called Ozone.
After we were done painting Tyler and a friend prepped the floors, sanded it, etched it and primed it.
We had to wait three days before we could go in there. We moved into the third bedroom before we even painted, knowing the floors would take a long time.
Tyler then did the new baseboards, painting them, installing them, and caulking them. Keith, our friend, helped him with that too.

And after everything was ready we moved back in!
We will later do hardwood in our bedroom and the other two bedrooms. We plan on tiling the rest of the house, but that won't happen for another year to 1 1/2 years or so.

Looks great "T"! Love the floors esp-but also confirms my no animals...
It does look nice - I have to agree with Elaine on the no animals thing! :)
That's awesome!!! It's like Extreme Home Makeover except I bet it cost a lot less!
Thanks so much for your comment on my blog! It's for that big gap between your jeans and your behind that I ALWAYS seem to have!
