Central Park Conservatory Gardens

21 Weeks

This weekend we took the doggies on their first subway ride. Up to 103rd st and then a walk through the Central Park Conservatory Garden. It was a beautiful cool day in New York. We got to the gardens a bit late in the day and had to rush through it a bit before they closed.

We then walked down and through the park and got to Ciao Bella in the UES right before it closed to get some gelato.

Poor Oliver almost didn't make it home. It was a long walk.

A baby!

We are halfway through with this pregnancy. It is crazy to me that it's going by so fast. I am one of the few people I know who is not anxious to meet their little one. I kind of like the baby in my belly at this point. I am not uncomfortable or huge. I look cute, pregnant but cute. And I have a full Fall semester I need baby to stay put in my belly for, so I can finish graduate school on time. :)

Our doctor is amazing. He practices differently than all doctors I have ever been to and does ultrasounds every visit in his office. He does it himself even. Our last visit we got to find out what we are having. We weren't quite sure we wanted to at first since we won't have a nursery in our one bedroom place, but decided to do it anyway because it is easier for everyone.

It is a little girl!

We are so excited! We love little girls and I am so happy to have been blessed with one. It looks like she has my lips and long fingers like Tyler. I'm hoping this means she'll be blessed with his piano playing abilities. Here's to more pink things in my life.

New City, New Life

Photo taken May 2009. Our first time in NYC.

We moved... to New York City

This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who knows us well

Tyler is working at a new company here

I'm attending New York University for my Family Nurse Practitioner Degree

We live in 620 sq ft

Tyler could have pizza daily

I miss Mexican food

Riding the subway during rush hour is interesting

The doggies get way too much attention from people on our walks

April loves it. Oliver not so much.

I miss the car when I go grocery shopping or make trips to target and costco

I have no desire to cook when outside my door I have endless restaurant options

Seriously... I just have to cross the street

Summer classes are over in two weeks

After that we can't wait to explore the city!

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary

It's also this little blogs 4th birthday (even if I barely blog)

Oh and we're having a baby! Coming at the end of November.

We couldn't be happier.

A little bit from Italy

Right now I am supposed to be studying for my GRE, but I wanted to get some pictures up here from our Italy trip. These are from our point and shoot camera which is not used nearly as much as our DSLR. You can also check out this site for our instagram pictures.

Once the GRE is over then I will be going through our DSLR pictures, but that won't be until December so here are some to hold you over!

Leaving for Rome!

Piazza Navona - my favorite one in Rome

On top of St. Peters Basilica - behind us is St. Peter's square

Galleria Borghese - great little museum, one of my favorites we have ever visited

National Modern Art Gallery - not a great museum

Florence

Piazza della Signoria - we spent a good chunk of time with headphones listening to audio tours

Chianti region Vespa Tour

View of Florence from the top of the Duomo. Behind us is Giotto's Belltower

View of the Duomo from the belltower

Venice

Island of Burano

Venice

View of Piazza San Marco from across the canal

We had an amazing time. We did a lot more than these pictures, but I hope you enjoy these. We also have a lot of video footage that maybe Tyler will work on while we're housebound studying for the GRE. Check out the instagram pictures here also because I think they're fun.

American Heart Association

Hey everyone!

This coming September the American Heart Association will be raising money for Heart Disease

As many of you know I am a cardiovascular registered nurse at a hospital in Dallas and we are raising money for American Heart Association. You might remember last year when we walked for them with the doggies.

I wanted to ask for your support in donating as much as you can to this cause. Heart disease is the number one killer in the US

Click on the link here to donate! Any amount is appreciated

Thank you so much!
