Day 9 - May 23

We took off from Nauvoo really early because we needed to make it to Chicago by 11:30am.

We headed straight to Wrigley field for our tour!

It was pretty neat. A much smaller baseball stadium than the Texas Rangers one or the Cardinals one.

I thought the funniest part was all the building around it that had stadium seating on their rooftops.

After the tour we rushed over to the Chicago LDS temple. We didn't get a chance to go in for a session because we needed to return our car, but we walked around the grounds and took lots of pictures. The Chicago temple was dedicated the same year I was born, and it has the same layout as the Dallas temple.





We then hurried back to downtown Chicago to return our car, we barely made it, there was a lot of traffic. After returning the car, we took a cab for two blocks to our hotel. We stayed at the Springhill suites in downtown Chicago. The best hotel we stayed at during our trip. We checked in, shower, and planned what we were going to do that night.

We decided to head over to Navy Pier for some dinner and fire works!

We rode the bus over to the pier.

We rode the ferris wheel and froze our bums off at the pier. It was in 40's! We had no idea it'd be so stinking cold in Chicago!

Day 10 - May 24

The 24th was a Sunday. Tyler wanted to go to church and the closest one was way far away. Before church we went to Millenium park just to walk around. It was so stinking cool!! I loved Millenium park.





These are made of LED lights and the faces blink and when they pucker up their lips is when the water starts spouting out.




We took the El to church and back. And it took forever, especially because there was construction with the line so we had to take a shuttle in between. It was a mess. Once we got back we walked back to our hotel so we could change and walk around downtown.

We also went to the top of the John Hancock building and got to see amazing city views. Chicago is absolutely beautiful!

After wards we met up with Liz and Bryan at Gino's East deep dish pizza. It was great to meet them, but I'm a spaz and forgot to get a picture with them.

Day 11 - May 25

Memorial Day!

We rode the El to the Museum of science and industry so we could see the Harry Potter exhibition. However we had a little hiccup with getting there. You see the green line was super duper far away from the museum. It was supposed to be a 4 minute walk from the train to the museum, but we ended up walking through Washington Park and University of Chicago campus for one hour before we got to the museum! It was ridiculous. We left the hotel early so we could walk around the museum before our time for the exhibition, but with our little mishap we got there right on time to go in.

They didn't allow picture to be taken in the exhibition, but they had the flying car outside in the museum for picture happiness. The exhibition was so neat. Highly recommended for HP fans and
a must during it is the audio tour. It makes things much more interesting.





We rode the bus back to our hotel. It was rainy and cold. We did the river cruise architecture tour, in the rain, and cold.






We froze our tushes off. After wards we ran to our hotel, took a shower, did laundry and packed up because we had an early flight to catch the next day to NYC!
