We left for Paris mid morning and had a stop in Boston. I almost always sleep the entire flight when we travel. As long as I have a window seat.

We had a fairly decent layover at the Logan airport, was supposed to be 4 hrs so we had some lunch at the Bonfire restaurant.
Tyler and I saw chips and salsa and we both thought that it sounded great. So we ordered it. We ended getting the following:
We learned Bostonians think Salsa is the same thing as Pico de gallo. Needless to say we were disappointed.
The steak was fabulous though and so were their parmesan fries.
Our flight was delayed by 3 hrs. Something about the pilot not showing up and waiting for a pilot from NYC to show up. We were pretty tired of waiting around by the time we boarded.
Saturday, July 3
We arrived in Paris the next morning. We had transportation set up with a driver but due to our delay he wasn't there when we got there, so we ended up hopping on a cab and heading over to our apartment.
Instead of a hotel, we chose to rent an apartment because of the size and cost and a washer/dryer. We had a one bedroom apartment within a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.
The view from our apartment. Mid morning on a foggy day.
After settling in we took a shower, nothing is better than a shower after a long flight. We were also pretty hungry so we headed down the street for some crepes at Suzette on Blvd. de Grenelle where our apartment was. Such a cute restaurant!
Afterwards we got some bottled water at the monoprix down the street from us and headed back to the apt. Tyler and I took a short little nap and then headed out to do a walking tour from our favorite Paris book.
We stopped at the Ecole Militaire and then headed up to the Eiffel Tower.
The glass monument is a peace monument and has the word peace written in several different languages.
We walked through Parc du Champ de Mars up to the tower.
While we considered riding the elevator up to the tower after learning there was a 4 hour wait we decided to not do it. We're glad we didn't, there are many places to see views of Paris and the Eiffel tower is the most popular and worth the wait. Locals will tell you that the best city views is the Montparnasse tower and it has an elevator!
At the Jardins du Tocadero they had a world cup party.
The lawn was overtaken by avid soccer fans.
We walked through Pont D'lena to get to the Trocadero and had great views of the Seine.
We had a late dinner at Cafe du trocadero and watched the tower sparkle.
We didn't get back to the apartment until almost 2am and we had no idea. Jet lagging definitely got to us, more Tyler than me due to my night shift schedule. This was a great start to Paris.

Please tell me you are not really sleeping in that first picture. You look ridiculously cute and if you are sleeping I am going to be angry.
I love Paris so much. I want to go!!!
What?!? Paris?!? JEALOUS. Have fun :)
I wear cotton bottoms. I used to wear cotton/poly and they shrink A LOT but they also stretch out faster. Cotton bottoms don't shrink as much as the cotton/poly do but so far they last longer.
